maoxiaochuan be7f956fec rtc: loongson: Add Loongson-2K0300 support
The Loongson-2K0300's rtc hardware design is similar to that of the
Loongson-1B, but it does not support the alarm feature.

Introduce `LOONGSON_RTC_ALARM_WORKAROUND`, which indicates a chip that
does not support the alarm feature, and rewrite the related logic in
`loongson_rtc_alarm_setting()`.

Binbin Zhou a4fd7f6afc dt-bindings: rtc: loongson: Correct Loongson-1C interrupts property
The `interrupts` property indicates an RTC alarm interrupt, which is
required for RTCs that support the alarm feature, which is not supported
by the Loongson-1C RTC. We exclude it for a more accurate description.

Changing the `allowed` property is ABI-breaking behavior, but
throughout the existing Loongson DTS{i}, the description of the RTC
nodes conforms to the modified bingding rules.

Thus, the existing Loongson DTS{i} will not be affected.

The divider_round_rate() function is now deprecated, so let's migrate
to divider_determine_rate() instead so that this deprecated API can be

Note that when the main function itself was migrated to use
determine_rate, this was mistakenly converted to:

This is invalid in the case when an error occurs since it can set the

Lisa Robinson 96702d68ec LoongArch: Fix PMU counter allocation for mixed-type event groups
When validating a perf event group, validate_group() unconditionally
attempts to allocate hardware PMU counters for the leader, sibling
events and the new event being added.

This is incorrect for mixed-type groups. If a PERF_TYPE_SOFTWARE event
is part of the group, the current code still tries to allocate a hardware
PMU counter for it, which can wrongly consume hardware PMU resources and
cause spurious allocation failures.

Fix this by only allocating PMU counters for hardware events during group
validation, and skipping software events.

A trimmed down reproducer is as simple as this:

Chenghao Duan 894c9f246e LoongArch: BPF: Enable trampoline-based tracing for module functions
Remove the previous restrictions that blocked the tracing of kernel
module functions. Fix the issue that previously caused kernel lockups
when attempting to trace module functions.

Before entering the trampoline code, the return address register ra
shall store the address of the next assembly instruction after the
'bl trampoline' instruction, which is the traced function address, and
the register t0 shall store the parent function return address. Refine
the trampoline return logic to ensure that register data remains correct
when returning to both the traced function and the parent function.

Before this patch was applied, the module_attach test in selftests/bpf

address after the trampoline execution, which resulted in an infinite

This patch allows the LoongArch BPF JIT to handle recoverable memory

Add the driver for on-chip UART used on Loongson family chips.

The hardware is similar to NS16550A, but there are the following
differences:
 - Some chips (such as Loongson-2K2000) have added a fractional division
   register to obtain the required baud rate accurately, so the
   {get,set}_divisor callback is overridden.
 - Due to hardware defects, quirk handling is required for

Linus Torvalds b9aaa42fbe samples: work around glibc redefining some of our defines wrong
Apparently as of version 2.42, glibc headers define AT_RENAME_NOREPLACE
and some of the other flags for renameat2() and friends in <stdio.h>.

Which would all be fine, except for inexplicable reasons glibc decided
to define them _differently_ from the kernel definitions, which then
makes some of our sample code that includes both kernel headers and user
space headers unhappy, because the compiler will (correctly) complain
about redefining things.

Now, mixing kernel headers and user space headers is always a somewhat
iffy proposition due to namespacing issues, but it's kind of inevitable
in our sample and selftest code. And this is just glibc being stupid.

Those defines come from the kernel, glibc is exposing the kernel
interfaces, and glibc shouldn't make up some random new expressions for
these values.

It's not like glibc headers changed the actual result values, but they
arbitrarily just decided to use a different expression to describe those
values.  The kernel just does

    #define AT_RENAME_NOREPLACE  0x0001

while glibc does

    # define RENAME_NOREPLACE (1 << 0)
    # define AT_RENAME_NOREPLACE RENAME_NOREPLACE

instead. Same value in the end, but very different macro definition.

For absolutely no reason.

This has since been fixed in the glibc development tree, so eventually
we'll end up with the canonical expressions and no clashes. But in the
meantime the broken headers are in the glibc-2.42 release and have made
it out into distributions.

Do a minimal work-around to make the samples build cleanly by just
undefining the affected macros in between the user space header include
and the kernel header includes.

David Hildenbrand 12218dff44 mm: stop making SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP user-selectable
Patch series "mm: remove nth_page()", v2.

As discussed recently with Linus, nth_page() is just nasty and we would
like to remove it.

To recap, the reason we currently need nth_page() within a folio is
because on some kernel configs (SPARSEMEM without SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP), the
memmap is allocated per memory section.

While buddy allocations cannot cross memory section boundaries, hugetlb
and dax folios can.

So crossing a memory section means that "page++" could do the wrong thing.
Instead, nth_page() on these problematic configs always goes from
page->pfn, to the go from (++pfn)->page, which is rather nasty.

Likely, many people have no idea when nth_page() is required and when it
might be dropped.

We refer to such problematic PFN ranges and "non-contiguous pages". If we
only deal with "contiguous pages", there is not need for nth_page().

Besides that "obvious" folio case, we might end up using nth_page() within
CMA allocations (again, could span memory sections), and in one corner
case (kfence) when processing memblock allocations (again, could span
memory sections).

So let's handle all that, add sanity checks, and remove nth_page().

Patch #1 -> #5   : stop making SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP user-selectable + cleanups
Patch #6 -> #13  : disallow folios to have non-contiguous pages
Patch #14 -> #20 : remove nth_page() usage within folios
Patch #22 : disallow CMA allocations of non-contiguous pages
Patch #23 -> #33 : sanity+check + remove nth_page() usage within SG entry
Patch #34        : sanity-check + remove nth_page() usage in
                   unpin_user_page_range_dirty_lock()
Patch #35        : remove nth_page() in kfence
Patch #36 : adjust stale comment regarding nth_page
Patch #37        : mm: remove nth_page()

A lot of this is inspired from the discussion at [1] between Linus, Jason
and me, so cudos to them.

This patch (of 37):

In an ideal world, we wouldn't have to deal with SPARSEMEM without
SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP, but in particular for 32bit SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP is
considered too costly and consequently not supported.

However, if an architecture does support SPARSEMEM with SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP,
let's forbid the user to disable VMEMMAP: just like we already do for
arm64, s390 and x86.

So if SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP is supported, don't allow to use SPARSEMEM without
SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP.

This implies that the option to not use SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP will now be gone
for loongarch, powerpc, riscv and sparc. All architectures only enable
SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP with 64bit support, so there should not really be a big
downside to using the VMEMMAP (quite the contrary).

This is a preparation for not supporting

(1) folio sizes that exceed a single memory section

(2) CMA allocations of non-contiguous page ranges

in SPARSEMEM without SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP configs, whereby we want to limit
possible impact as much as possible (e.g., gigantic hugetlb page
allocations suddenly fails).
