Kees Cook fa0b0b360a sched/task_stack: Add missing const qualifier to end_of_stack()
Add missing const qualifier to the non-CONFIG_THREAD_INFO_IN_TASK
version of end_of_stack() to match the CONFIG_THREAD_INFO_IN_TASK
version. Fixes a warning with CONFIG_KSTACK_ERASE=y on archs that don't
select THREAD_INFO_IN_TASK (such as LoongArch):

  error: passing 'const struct task_struct *' to parameter of type 'struct task_struct *' discards qualifiers

The stackleak_task_low_bound() function correctly uses a const task
parameter, but the legacy end_of_stack() prototype didn't like that.

Build tested on loongarch (with CONFIG_KSTACK_ERASE=y) and m68k
(with CONFIG_DEBUG_STACK_USAGE=y).

Kees Cook 86970fd026 mips: Handle KCOV __init vs inline mismatch
When KCOV is enabled all functions get instrumented, unless
the __no_sanitize_coverage attribute is used. To prepare for
__no_sanitize_coverage being applied to __init functions, we
have to handle differences in how GCC's inline optimizations get
resolved. For mips this requires adding the __init annotation on

While there, convert the function to return void to not confuse readers

Mateusz Jończyk 5778b679dc mips/malta,loongson2ef: use generic mc146818_get_time function
mc146818_get_cmos_time() is now mostly equivalent to mc146818_get_time()
from drivers/rtc/rtc-mc146818-lib.c, with the latter using a more
advanced algorithm (which checks the UIP bit in the CMOS). The Malta
and Loongson2ef platforms, the only users of mc146818_get_cmos_time()
have RTC devices that should be MC146818 compatible.

So, rewrite mc146818_get_cmos_time() in a way that uses
mc146818_get_time() and add CONFIG_RTC_MC146818_LIB as a dependency of
CONFIG_MIPS_MALTA and CONFIG_CPU_LOONGSON2EF.

The should be safe as:

- malta_defconfig already uses a standard RTC CMOS driver
  (CONFIG_RTC_DRV_CMOS=y). The Malta board has an Intel 82371EB (PIIX4E)
  south bridge with the CMOS RTC, so should work correctly with the
  modification,

- Loongson2e and 2f apparently use the VIA686B south bridge and the AMD
  CS5536 south bridge respectively (at least according to Kconfig). I
  have checked datasheets of both and these appear to be MC146818
  software compatible.

Mateusz Jończyk 9ed3976fa5 mips: remove redundant macro mc146818_decode_year
The mc146818_decode_year macro is used only in mc146818_get_cmos_time(),
which in turn is called only in

	arch/mips/mti-malta/malta-time.c

Christophe JAILLET 76a78bcc42 thermal/drivers/loongson2: Constify struct thermal_zone_device_ops
'struct thermal_zone_device_ops' could be left unmodified in this driver.

Constifying this structure moves some data to a read-only section, so

Thomas Weißschuh 31f7a11a92 MIPS: Don't crash in stack_top() for tasks without ABI or vDSO
Not all tasks have an ABI associated or vDSO mapped,
for example kthreads never do.
If such a task ever ends up calling stack_top(), it will derefence the
NULL ABI pointer and crash.

This can for example happen when using kunit:

    mips_stack_top+0x28/0xc0
    arch_pick_mmap_layout+0x190/0x220
    kunit_vm_mmap_init+0xf8/0x138

    kthread+0x118/0x240
    ret_from_kernel_thread+0x14/0x1c

Only dereference the ABI point if it is set.

The GIC page is also included as it is specific to the vDSO.
Also move the randomization adjustment into the same conditional.

Oleg Nesterov f43efa09e2 posix-cpu-timers: fix race between handle_posix_cpu_timers() and posix_cpu_timer_del()
If an exiting non-autoreaping task has already passed exit_notify() and
calls handle_posix_cpu_timers() from IRQ, it can be reaped by its parent
or debugger right after unlock_task_sighand().

If a concurrent posix_cpu_timer_del() runs at that moment, it won't be
able to detect timer->it.cpu.firing != 0: cpu_timer_task_rcu() and/or
lock_task_sighand() will fail.

Add the tsk->exit_state check into run_posix_cpu_timers() to fix this.

This fix is not needed if CONFIG_POSIX_CPU_TIMERS_TASK_WORK=y, because
exit_task_work() is called before exit_notify(). But the check still
makes sense, task_work_add(&tsk->posix_cputimers_work.work) will fail
anyway in this case.

For thread_count, the current calculation method has a maximum of 255,
which may not be sufficient in the future. Therefore, we are correcting
it now.

Now the optimized version of arch_dup_task_struct() for LoongArch

Huacai Chen f6a8b5846e LoongArch: Mask all interrupts during kexec/kdump
If the default state of the interrupt controllers in the first kernel
don't mask any interrupts, it may cause the second kernel to potentially
receive interrupts (which were previously allocated by the first kernel)
immediately after a CPU becomes online during its boot process. These
interrupts cannot be properly routed, leading to bad IRQ issues.

This patch calls machine_kexec_mask_interrupts() to mask all interrupts
during the kexec/kdump process.

Eliav Farber 17b0d5644e genirq/kexec: Prevent redundant IRQ masking by checking state before shutdown
During machine kexec, machine_kexec_mask_interrupts() is responsible for
disabling or masking all interrupts. While the irq_disable() is only
invoked when the interrupt is not yet disabled, it unconditionally invokes
the irq_mask() callback for every interrupt descriptor, even when the
interrupt is already masked or not even started up yet.

A specific issue was observed in the crash kernel flow after unbinding a
device (prior to kexec) that used a GPIO as an IRQ source. The warning was
triggered by the gpiochip_disable_irq() function, which attempts to clear
the FLAG_IRQ_IS_ENABLED flag when FLAG_USED_AS_IRQ was not set.

This issue surfaced after commit a8173820f441 ("gpio: gpiolib: Allow GPIO
IRQs to lazy disable") introduced lazy disablement for GPIO IRQs. It
replaced disable/enable hooks with mask/unmask hooks. Unlike the disable
hook, the mask hook doesn't handle already-masked IRQs.

When a GPIO-IRQ driver is unbound, the IRQ is released, triggering
__irq_disable() and irq_state_set_masked(). A subsequent call to
machine_kexec_mask_interrupts() re-invokes chip->irq_mask(). This results
in a call chain, including gpiochip_irq_mask() and gpiochip_disable_irq().
Since FLAG_USED_AS_IRQ was cleared earlier, the warning is triggered.

Replace the direct invocation of the irq_mask() and irq_disable() callbacks
invoking to irq_shutdown(), which handles the cases correct and avoid it
all together when the interrupt has never been started up.

Eliav Farber ba49f29324 kexec: Consolidate machine_kexec_mask_interrupts() implementation
Consolidate the machine_kexec_mask_interrupts implementation into a common
function located in a new file: kernel/irq/kexec.c. This removes duplicate
implementations from architecture-specific files in arch/arm, arch/arm64,
arch/powerpc, and arch/riscv, reducing code duplication and improving
maintainability.

The new implementation retains architecture-specific behavior for
CONFIG_GENERIC_IRQ_KEXEC_CLEAR_VM_FORWARD, which was previously implemented
for ARM64. When enabled (currently for ARM64), it clears the active state
of interrupts forwarded to virtual machines (VMs) before handling other
interrupt masking operations.

Vincent Li d356138b31 LoongArch: BPF: Disable trampoline for kernel module function trace
The current LoongArch BPF trampoline implementation is incompatible
with tracing functions in kernel modules. This causes several severe
and user-visible problems:

* The `bpf_selftests/module_attach` test fails consistently.
* Kernel lockup when a BPF program is attached to a module function [1].
* Critical kernel modules like WireGuard experience traffic disruption
  when their functions are traced with fentry [2].

Given the severity and the potential for other unknown side-effects, it
is safest to disable the feature entirely for now. This patch prevents
the BPF subsystem from allowing trampoline attachments to kernel module
functions on LoongArch.

This is a temporary mitigation until the core issues in the trampoline
code for kernel module handling can be identified and fixed.

maoxiaochuan 3205090d63 LoongArch: Consolidate max_pfn & max_low_pfn calculation
Now there 5 places which calculate max_pfn & max_low_pfn:
1. in fdt_setup() for FDT systems;
2. in memblock_init() for ACPI systems;
3. in init_numa_memory() for NUMA systems;
4. in arch_mem_init() to recalculate for "mem=" cmdline;
5. in paging_init() to recalculate for NUMA systems.

Since memblock_init() is called both for ACPI and FDT systems, move the
calculation out of the for_each_efi_memory_desc() loop can eliminate the
first case. The last case is very questionable (may be derived from the
MIPS/Loongson code) and breaks the "mem=" cmdline, so should be removed.
And then the NUMA version of paging_init() can be also eliminated.

After consolidation there are 3 places of calculation:
1. in memblock_init() for both ACPI and FDT systems;
2. in init_numa_memory() to recalculate for NUMA systems;
3. in arch_mem_init() to recalculate for the "mem=" cmdline.

For all cases the calculation is:
max_pfn = PFN_DOWN(memblock_end_of_DRAM());
max_low_pfn = min(PFN_DOWN(HIGHMEM_START), max_pfn);

Qiang Ma 6cb8feade5 LoongArch: kexec: Print out debugging message if required
When specifying '-d' for kexec_file_load interface, loaded locations of
kernel/initrd/cmdline etc can be printed out to help debug.

Commit eb7622d908a0 ("kexec_file, riscv: print out debugging message if
required") fixes the same issue on RISC-V.

So, remove kexec_image_info() because the content has been printed out
in generic code.

And on Loongson-3A5000, the printed messages look like below:

 kexec_file: kernel: 00000000d9aad283 kernel_size: 0x2e77f30
 kexec_file(EFI): No LoongArch PE image header.
 kexec_file: Loaded initrd at 0x80000000 bufsz=0x1637cd0 memsz=0x1638000

Youling Tang 0d92511e6a LoongArch: kexec: Initialize the kexec_buf structure
The kexec_buf structure was previously declared without initialization.
commit bf454ec31add ("kexec_file: allow to place kexec_buf randomly")
added a field that is always read but not consistently populated by all
architectures. This un-initialized field will contain garbage.

This is also triggering a UBSAN warning when the uninitialized data is
accessed:

        ------------[ cut here ]------------
        UBSAN: invalid-load in ./include/linux/kexec.h:210:10
        load of value 252 is not a valid value for type '_Bool'

Zero-initializing kexec_buf at declaration ensures all fields are
cleanly set, preventing future instances of uninitialized memory being
used.
